Default Helmet In The Wind

I ride an 07 FXD with a quick releasecompact windshield. At highway speeds of 60+ my Fulmer half helmet wants to start flying on its own. I took the visor off and it improves it a bit; it used to start lifting at about 50+. I strap it tight, but it still wants to go. Anybody got any better experiences with this or other brands of half helmets? I don't want to go with a three quarters or full.

With the detachable windshield onI never had a problem with a half helmet. Without the shield I can see how it would want to pull back, I experienced that years ago. Just one of the reasons I don't wear a helmet anymore.

Never seen a fulmer but if it's a reg DOT half the up draft is grabbing the sides andvisor if you have it on. First remove the visor and try that. Next maybe switch to a DOT that is less wide on the sides like an ACC Carbon Fiber. The carbon Fiber i got eliminated all the up pulling on the helmet, made a big difference. Lots of reviews on the ACC carbon fibers. Try a search, good luck.

It may seem like a silly suggestion, but try wearing a doo-rag. My helmet slips without one but doesn't when I wear one. Maybe it's worth a shot.

ACC changed that for me. It says put on my head nicely without all the updraft pulling on it. I don't even use a windshield.

Get a wider Windshield, the detachable windshield are not made ride for the dyna. But harley keeps selling them.Look at the road king shield are wider and taller and use your handware with that kind of windshield. Best of luck.
