My wife went to visit a friend in Texas, I won't mention the city, anyway she visits the local Harley shop there and buys me a Harley Davidson T shirt. When she gets home and gives me my surprise (the shirt), I see it was made in Honduras...............the tag on it says 'Genuine Harley Davidson'.....

 

So???
The tag did not say "Made in America".
There is a difference.....

Your motorcycle was only assembled in the USA, most of the parts come from overseas. The engine and transmission are cast in the UK.

 

Not completely true. I just toured the KC plant, and they make fenders, gas tanks, frames, and many other parts there. And all the steel used for those parts is manufactured in the US.

As for the T shirts, this topic has been beaten thousands of times already.

 

You've been on this forum since 2009 and this is the first time you've heard of this? You thought all the HD Motorclothes were made in the USA even after the countless threads on here that have said otherwise?

All the small stuff...Just think, the heart of your machine is made in UK.

 

I wonder why that is... Surely the manufacturing costs in the socialist economy of the UK are at least as much as here, right?

 

So did you throw it back at her and say "WTF?" Or send it back to Honduras? Or send it to the unnamed, "secret Texas city" where she bought it at. Or accept it for what it was, a surprise gift from your wife?
