Real value of 74 FXE
Anybody know/have a guesstimate of what a realistic asking price would be for a numbers matching (frame, engine, tranny) 74 FXE (Super Glide) in very good to excellent condition would be? I had a wee bit of an incident at the end of last week and now need some cash for four new upper front teeth.

06dynablack, the sig pic is an 01 Road King, that I owe a bit more then 8K on or I'd be looking to sell that one first
Yuck, While I'll agree points are priceless this Shovel currently has electronic ignition, based on the recommendation of an Indie I no longer trust, there is a set points and condenser in the tool roll for CYA. As for the teeth, I stopped a not so softball with my face, got some good drugs, stitches and a fat lip from h3ll out of the deal.
Crshertx3, mods/updates would be electronic ignition, S&S super B carb, Fat Bob fender & tanks, Chrome hidden axle forks, new front master cylinder (dot 6) with PM knock off four piston caliper, Forward controls, FLH ratchet top in order to keep the shift pattern right, exhaust is 10 yo straight pipes that are starting to show their age, bars are buckhorn. AFAIK Stock displacement and stroke, the cases haven't been cracked for as long as I've owned her, 10 years or so.
jca_54, for 8K she's yours
The motor is strong, dry and doesn't smoke. I do have a set of one piece muffler pipes somewhere in my garage along with 128 twisted spoke rims, the original ratchet top, fork legs, starter, starter solenoid and god knows what else for spare parts. If you check the pix there are a few "divorce dents" in the rear fender where my psycho ex missed me with her high heel and got the rear fender, I never fixed 'em as a reminder of to be careful of what I poke

Nice looking bike, I put a lot of miles on Shovelheads. Up here in the Pacific Northwest that'd probably go around $7~8 K You need to get some PJ1 on that chain
