It'll be the opposite of a 300 rear tire, gobs of chrome, and a 40K sticker price.

Maybe rat rod type bikes with hopped up performance engines, and moderate rear tires.

Then again, who knows? Here's HD coming out with the "Rocker". I feel they're 10 years late to the prom with it, but what do I know...

I voted Bagger touring. Makes sense since I am picking up my '08 Road King Classic on Friday.

Unfortunatly we will see bikes that are less and less ridable, that look more like spaceships than a bike, and cost 50,000$ plus. True motorcycle RIDERS have no use for that crap.[:@]

I guess I'm in the minority. I chose scooters. Why? Because fuel prices will continue to increase in the long run and lots of people are giving a look at low-cost transportation that is less intimidating than traditional motorcycles. Both Suzuki (Bergman) and Honda (Silverwing) are selling briskly. So is that old Italian standard Vespa. (Vespa is selling like hotcakes at the Vespa dealership in Charlottesville, Va.) Scooters are perfect for urban commutes at 65-70mpg. Don't laugh. A 650cc Bergman can shame a stock Harley in both accelaration and top end. It also can carry a lot of stuff.

My second choice would have been the baggers.

As far as Harleysgo, the Vrod points the way, from sport bike to bagger, the high tech watercooled, computer controlled mode has already been set. We've already seen some of the most radical "new wave" customs and I feel that trend has only begun to take over the custom world. Street sport bikes and "Cadillac" style baggers will continue to evolve. Old school will be any air cooled "Classic" bikes we know now. No shade tree mechanics, just computer "Nerds". Drive trains will be thrown away and replaced with new crate parts. Engines will wear out and be unrepairable, simply replaced. I only pray the aftermarket will still supply parts for my Evo.

There will be more and more liquid cooled cruisers, not only metric but domestic. Look for HD to put the Revolution engine in baggers.

They have done the 2 wheel model motorcycles to death. It is time for the unicycle to take over.
