Contact Lenses and Riding...
Hey all--quick question. I'd like to know what the rest of you do: for those that wear contact lenses, what do you do to keep your eyes from drying out while riding. I mean, short of wearing sunglasses/goggles (I don't like wearing prescription glasses, am fine when I wear sunglasses, and haven't yet tried clear goggles), is there some special trick you do to keep your lenses from getting dry and/or blurry? It's getting to be quite a hassle and, sometimes, even dangerous!!!
By the way, how crazy is that I'm actually considering lasik surgery just to make my ride more comfortable!!!

I always wear goggles... Dark during the day, clear in the evening/night.
I use the ones that look like sunglasses so i don't look like a WWI flying ace.
Always keep eye drops on me too, just in case.

I'd look into different brands of contacts as well. I have never had a problem with my contacts drying out when riding. Could just be something that you can't avoid though, I have never had contacts bother me no matter how long I leave mine in, I'll even sleep in them with out rewetting them. However my fiance can't stand having hers in for a very long period of time, she wears a full face helmet and just wears her prescription glasses when she rides.

I had this same issue for a while, my eye doctor actually switched my type of contacts to the B&L Oasis, they allow moisture to stay in but also better air circulation. I always carry eye drops in my saddle bag, some days when the winds are high it can be brutal. Dunno...might help, if not find some glasses/ goggles that you like to help keep the wind from going too much into your eyes.

Good contacts "oasis" as Tuckahoe mentioned . I also use day night goggles and theses harley performance sunglasses. Went through a few sets till I came up with the ones that work with no problems.

Get the Lasik. I was 20/600 before and I'm still 20/15 almost two years later. Best money I've ever spent.
