Well the primeriding season is quickly coming to a close. Saturday morning I finished the yard work (for the last time this season I hope),and I headed southeast of the homestead about 30 miles to the Hocking Hills. The weather was perfect, and the sceanery was better. For those who have never been this is one of those things you must treat yourself to. I have always enjoyed riding down there but nothing compares to the Hills in the fall. My suggestion would be to fill up the tank and try to get yourself lost!!!!!

Part of me wants the weather to stay this way all winter but the other part is anxious for snow to fly so I can tear the bike apart. I have a stack of parts and a tone of ideas to make it mine.

 

If you're a Buckeye, it's one of the most scenic places in the state. Did you visit the busy metropolis of Glouster? I guess if you used I-71 as a dividing line, and stay east of it, you will find nice rolling hils to side. Mt Vernon, Sugar Creek, Zanesville (RT 555), Caldwellallhave some nice 2 lane roads

 

Was there last spring, I loved it. Except for the deer.

 

Was there last year . Spent the night at a hotel in Lancaster on the way back home. Very nice riding. Started out in East Liverpool and road the river to Marrietta then up to Hocking Hills. Great ridin.

 

I live in this area and I bet the scenery from my house in any of thehalf dozen state routes would rival any .Look to http://friendsofhockinghills.com/ In May they had their first annual poker run.Went to all the state parks in Hocking,athens,perry counties.DAMN beautiful ride and a barbecue after.

Have been down there a couple of times this year and in the general area there are some really great riding. Never been there in the fall, though, bet it is beautiful.

 

you mean.......there are more senic road to ride than the Columbus area???? J/K

 

Next time you decide to come this way give me a holler and I will ride with you. I live in Lancaster and the wife generaly has no problem giving me a day pass to go ride.
