Amsoil 75w90 SVG in the transmission ( 22 ounces for your 97). Amsoil 20w50mcv in the engine and HD formula+ for the primary ( don't need to spend the extra for synthetic there). You can't go wrong with either Amsoil or Mobil 1. They are the top two rated synthetic oils in the world.

Red Line Shockproof Heavy. Best I've used yet.

 

I changed oil before putting the bike up for winter and used Lucas 75w90 synthetic oil in the trans, Lucas 20w50 synthetic in the motor, and Formula + in the primary.

 

Mobile one 20-50 (engine), mobil one75-90 (tranny), and HD syn 3 in the primary. Big imporvement over dino oil.

 

been using synthetic oil (amsoil) in the primary for over 40,000 miles. no clutch probs.

and i've used synthetics in all my metrics with no clutch probs either.....

 

Using Amsoil in the crank and primary 20w 50 synthetic mentioned above by Stroker

Using Belray 85 140 hypoid gear oil in the tranny purr's like a kitten.
