I have Panoptx Diablo cv f7026 prescription with transitions lenses. They go pitch black in the sunlight and crystal clearon cloudy days. JBD

Most transition lenses I have had in the last few years have taken time to break in and really get dark. Most Opticians will tell you it takes a couple of weeks of steady sunlight to make them really dark. I would say give them a chance.

Pffff, fancy stuff guys. I just keep an identical pare of glasses with clear lenses with me for if/when it gets too dark to ride with my shades... Paid $36 bucks for both pair - total, they fit me like a glove and have a lifetime replacement guarantee against any damage caused by anything other than theft or loss. If I get pissed and step on them, I can still send them back and get a new pair.

Never found a set that got dark enough, either Panoptx or Wiley X and I like both brands. The transition lenses get light enough for me at night, but in the day, I have to usemy Wiley X's withthe permanent dark lenses.

I am cheap but I love the safety glasses I wear by Starlite. Cost 5.00.

I had the Wiley X transition lenses and hated them. I was told to leave them in the sum for a few days so I did and it didn't make a difference. They did take them back for a full refund. Iwent back tothe interchangable lenses.

I have Wiley X's & they are fine except when riding into the sun. They are great at night &cut down on headlight glare. I wear them 90% of the time & carry a darker pair if needed.

Photochromatic lenses will never get as dark as normal sunglasses. The only way to get them near there is to put a light tint on the glases to start with. Then when it darkens, it goes even darker. Obviously this light tint is always there and affects your night time vision.

I've have photochromatic lenses for my prescription eyewear. They are very convenient as an eye glass wearer. But they are in no way as dark as good sunglasses. They do come close and take the edge off.
