Default boots

I want to purchase a pair of black logger style boots for riding. I'd rather get the plain toe ones rather than the steel toe, because of the weight difference. I saw a pair of Red Wing #699 boots and also Justin makes a black logger style also. Of the two, which would be the better choice? I own a pair of steel toe Chippewas but use them mainly for work. Thanks.

Either brand should be good. I have a pair of Chippewa and Justin which i like. Me, I would buy only the made in USA boot.

I would go with the one that fits you better. Both are good quality.

Have you considered the Red Wing 980?

It might not be what you're thinking of but you might research Ariat. I have a pair and they are the most comfortable boot I've ever worn.

Go with Viberg---they are the best!!!! They are made in Canada. They even have an "dualsport" boot. www.workboot.com. I have a pair and they are more comfortable and better made than WESCOs. Good luck. They run a bit wide which is good!

Best advice I seen was try them all on and get the ones that feel the best on you. I wear Doc Martens stitched toe steel toes and I really like them a lot. (Disclaimer: I've worn some form of Doc Martens for years now, riding and work, and like them personally)

Never heard of this company and just checked their website. It looks like they have a new line of motorcycle boots coming out in the spring. The store near me that carries them is supposed to get them in.
