I have probably thirty pairs of Okaleys (I collect them) and the Juliets are nice for riding. You can get them in polarized lenses (do it!) and are metal, so they are quality built and will hold up inside a helmet. If you want to go plastic, I would look into the Half Jackets or Flak Jackets.

Oakley appreciation thread.
Yet what makes good motorcycle sunglasses?
1 - Impact resistant
2 - Stratch resistant
3 - Easy to slip under helmet over ears
4 - Don't fly off from wind when turning one's head left or right
5 - Don't "fog" up
Anythink else?
I've found the foam lens seals increases fogging. Also found that at least my bike glasses get abused...packed in luggage, dirt grime from envirnment, bending frames for helmet fit.
Those Half Jacket Oakleys look like nice glasses!

I wear the Polarized Gold Iridium lenses for virtually everything outdoors. In the lower light of the morning and early evening, I wear the G30 lens.
Here's a cool web site that lists many of the lenses with excellent reviews:

I wear the Flak Jackets. I love these things. First Oakley's I put on that fit good. Half Jackets are nice too. The Wind Jacket's are nothing more than the Split Jackets with the foam around them. You can customize them pretty good on their site if you don't mind paying retail. The optics on the Oakley lenses are what I love. There is no distortion while looking through any part of the lens.

I am still wearing a pair of glasses I picked up in 2002 at the Harley pre-100th rally in Atlanta. These are specifically designed for motorcycle riding and fit VERY close to the face allowing virtually NO WIND to enter above, below, or from the side of the lenses. They were called WindJammers and offered the ability to change lenses for day or night riding. I absolutely love them and have tried to get a new pair from the manufacturer. Unfortunately the manufacturer changed the design ever so slightly but enough that I can no longer get replacement lenses for them. So I am in the market for a new pair of riding glasses from someone. For you fellows recommending the Monster Dogs.....do they sit close/flush on the face and really block the wind? I have very sensitive eyes and any wind coming in causes me discomfort to the point of tearing so much I cant see. Comments please. thanks!

I have a pair of the Wind Jackets and they are great.... the foam inserts are easy to pull off to use as a normal pair of Oakleys...pop them on and you have a great pair of riding glasses...I have had mine for week and could not be happier with them.
