The new hubless motorcycle is estimated to be worth over $150,000 which is nothing out of the ordinary for a booming custom motorcycle industry.
Booming? C'mon. Near death's doorstep, one foot in the grave, a shadow of its old self, etc. would be better descriptions.
I seriously doubt anyone will pay $150 big ones for that bike.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but hasn't Billy Lane had a hubless rear wheel on his one bike for the last 1.5 years?
Are these guys claiming they invented it or just now finally marketing it?

Billy Lane. He may be pretty controversial, but he's been building hubless bikes for years. He's on his fifth or sixth one I believe.

Actually, Mike Brown from Amen Motorcycles did the first hubless bike, not Billy. Billy just gets all of the credit. And it was way more than 2 years ago. http://www.brainbucketmag.com/copper...=84/pos=0.html

I couldn't find a hubless bike made before 2001, which is when Billy came out with his. The only one I found from Amen was made in 2004, but BOTH wheels are hubless. Did Mike have one out before this?

Yes, Mike was first and Billy was second. We all know what # 2 is.
