Lowest / Slimmest / Sleekest ...**UPDATED Pics.
Ok, so here’s the deal. I ordered a LePera BareBones seat; which I thought was the lowest, slimmest, sleekest blah blah blah. .....I hated it. For some reason it just didn’t look like the o’ll hard core seats of the past.
Here’s a pic. ………
So I rip orf the foam, leather etc and get to the metal base. Ah, now that’s what I call a hard core seat. *Grin*.
Pic…….
Pic……..
Then I get told after riding it around for a few days that it destroys the look of the scoot etc etc etc. So I take the foam and rip it up and shave the **** outta it until it’s real real thin. (Well, that is ....... a bud does.
Pic………
Then I smack leather over it.
Well, now I think it sux again. It’s 100% better than the original but not as good as the metal pan.
So, question is, whadda ya think…. Should I clean up the pan so it’s nice and clean, or just whack a sheet of leather over it, with nothing underneath? Or what. Or should I just leave the current one on and hope it gets pounded down more from my *** being on it all the time.
Oh, and I don’t care about comfort, I hardly ever ride more than an hour here, ( If you do; you'd end up in the water ) and I deliberately rode an hour with the metal pan and it was fine on the ***. No complaints.

We have two members with bare bone home made seats (no suspension) and these guys ride long distances regulary. Looks good but a pain in the azz, I ride with a gunfighter seat, even that feels like sitting on a brick after all day on the saddle.

Nah, a real biker would just park his butt on the frame rails!
Seriously, tho, I had a LaPera on my bike when I bought it and I couldn't tell the difference between it and a plank.

Ok, so ripped all the leather and foam back orf of it and re-did it. Got some carpet or whatever that's called and some contact glue.
Doesn't look too professional as it was me that did it, but it's perfect now; .....aside from looking a little homemade.
My bud'll go over it next week with a decent thin plastic seat surround; and that'll cover the rough edges.
For now I love it. Went for a spin this afternoon, and it took about an hour, round trip. Butt was fine.
Now, I feel a part of the bike; and not on top of the bike. Absolutely love it. Oh, and I like the look of it a lot better too.
