Default Tank Decal

Hi,
Has anyone removed the Harley Davidson tank decal on there bikes without having to repaint? I would like to remove mine from a 2001 FLSTC. I Don't know if they are under the clear coat or not. Thanks ......Loco

They are under the clearcoat. If you're very careful, you can sand down the clearcoat without getting into the color, remove the decal and then re-shoot the clearcoat. It will require some kind of painting any way you look at it.

Dangerous.
Plan on painting and you may get lucky.
