Default Michelin Commanders for Softail Deluxe

*I am reposting this here because no one seems to go into the tech forum for tires*

Hey guys. I just wanted to double check before I ordered the tires... I will need a 130/90HB-16 front and a 140/90HB-16 rear, right? Can I go 150 on the rear without modification? Thanks for any help.

Don't know about size. But I used a set of Michelin COmmanders a few years ago on a Dyna. Worst tire I ever used. Slippery when dry, downright dangerous when wet. Don't know how long they last, because I got rid of them pretty quick.

Wow. I read so many great reviews on them. Unfortunately, there was not a single tire manufacturer I could find that had all good reviews. Michelin just seemed to have the least amount ofbad reviews.

Spike...a 150/80B/16 will work on your Deluxe that is what comes stock on '05 and older FX softails and on the FLSTC...Why Michelin's? I know they make a great tire for the cage, but IMO, Avon and Metzeler make a great bike tire. Even the Dunlop Elite 3 is one helluva good tire, 'cept they don't make it in a 150 and a 160 won't fit a stock width wheel and prob wont fit under the fender of a softail.

A lot of the bagger guys love them. They seem to work well on the bike bikes.
