3 to 6 years doesn't seem like enough! I processed a 22 year old today who was returning from court on his way to state prison for DUI Manslaughter. I don't know the particulars on his case, but he got 10.5 years here in Florida, drinking and driving just isn't worth it.

I agree, thats not long enough. I would be wanting alot more time if I lost someone to a DUI related accident.

She'll go in to court, cry, explain how it is all some man's fault (Daddy abused her, husband/boyfriend abused her, Ronald McDonald was mean to her once...which is her reason for drinking...), tell them she's found God, and joined AA, and they'll let her off with a slap on the wrist. 3 - 6 years hardly seems to be enough. I'll be interested to hear the outcome.

She'll do jail in addition to the probation http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/23348505/"as she was led out of a Bucks County courtroom to begin serving a three- to seven-year prison sentence for driving drunk and causing a fatal collision.
Brenda Nauroth, 48, also must serve five years of probation and pay a $1,000 fine for killing "

UNTIL MOTORCYCLIST JOIN TOGETHER AND ACTUALLY DO SOMETHING ABOUT SITUATIONS LIKE THIS, NOTHING WILL HAPPEN. WHEN LAWS ARE PASSED. THIS WILL STOP. NOT UNTIL THEN !.
You need to remember. society sees us as undesirables. We don't count.

What sentance do you think she would of recieved if she had hit a SUV with kids ? Not just with motorcyclist , but with all drivers. Laws need to be passed to protect . People aren't heald responsible enough when they get on the road.
Little slaps on the hand and off you go.

Let's just sit back and talk about chrome while 5289 bikers die in 07. Or how about 21,938 bikers died in five years. How about 1,876,423 bikers had accoidents with other vehicles in five years. And we're bitching about the right to wear a helmet. What a joke.

Accidents happen, but not when some asswhipe is impaired to operate a vehicle and takes someones life..This is my believe when someone hurts, molests, kills or abuses another human being once they are found they should be given to the family of the victim and tell them, "Ok boys and girls is all yours" then you will see all the crime begin to slow down because criminals will know what it isgoing to happen they wont be getting a slap on their hand or be living on my tax dollars in a hotel with bars...

It's about time. Hit or kill a biker, GO TO JAIL. Three to Six is light, should be 15 or more.
