there a few things you can do to put your bike up for a while. Sears makes a real nice light weight jack that you could lift it up off the ground and still be able to move it around a bit.

I would just got by matter of opinion and that is what the reccomend. And, they just could be giving a very thorough answer to what the presume to be a worried customer and are just trying to keep them at ease and keep liability off of them in case it did happen.

The recommendation is when the oil is changed on the bike that the air in the tires should be changed? When is the last time that you changed the air in your tires? This will solve the issue of a square tire from sitting too long.
