Default Funny thing that happened to me at Applebees where I live

Funny story... we came out of Applebees where we live and we were getting ready to head out and this lady came out who was about my age and size. I am 43 yrs YOUNG and I am only 5' 2" on a good day. She wanted to know what size my motorcycle was because she just got a 250 Honda. She said she had just started riding because her kids are finally grown and her Husband had been riding for 30 yrs and she wanted to be able to go with him. I told her that I started riding when I was 6 but gave it up when I was 17 due to being pregnant with our oldest son. I had just started riding again and I always said I would have a Harley one day and now I have one. She was shocked that my bike was an 883 with me being so small. My Hubby and I let her sit on our bikes and his was too big but she loved how low mine was. She said she had seen us pull in and she said to her husband that when we left she was going to come out to find out what my bike was. I hope I inspired her to go bigger than a 250 because even us little girls can handle the bigger bikes!

When I bought my 883 I was thinking to myself, "How can I handle a bike this big". My last bike was a Honda 100 when I was 17. But after getting back in the saddle again and feeling confident I have set my goals on the Softail Deluxe for my next bike.

See what happens when one of your children buys a bike and you sit on it after not being in the saddle for many, many, did I say many? years.

You have shown the "nice" side of being a "biker". Many wouldn't have let somebody touch it, but to sit on it! Whether or not this person buys a bigger bike, you will never know.

I am sure you made some thoughts go through her head.

What a great story! I'm proud of both of you ladies. My 5'4" wife is really wanting to get back on a bike too. Her last was a 1200 Sporty.Sheis thinking she might like a Dyna Low oreven a Nightster. I love seeing women ride!
