Default Apes and lower back pain

I have lowerback pain (Stenosis) and have been told to purchase a set of ape hangers. I have a 07 Deluxe and don't particularly like the tall apesI've seen onDeluxe's,maybe the mini's would look better. What is the opinion of riders with back pain?
BTW, I purchased a Back-a-Line belt and that helps also!

Well, its a human kinesiology thing. When your arms are raised, your Lats are activated and supporting much of the weight of your upper body, alleviating pressure on your lower back.

Try it and see. It might feel so good you love it.

Apes will help with lower back pain. Helps me, I'm running 16" on my Heritage. Apes aren't Gay. Whoever states such drivel hasn't ever riden with them. Again Stop with the gay references. Damn.......Ride Safe and Often.........BearC.Paw......

Vigilant...one of my bros has suffered lower back pain for a long time, man. He's in his 60's. Gave me his 16's and got himself a set of 22's. Said his back has never felt better. Heck, other day a Statie pulled all of us over for going a little fast and asked my bro if he felt his new apes were legal. My bro said, "Yeah, they really help my back out and keeps me from doing bad stuff". The officer just laughed and asked us to slow it down. Classic.

I have the 14 inch wild ones apes and they are very confortable especially in combination with the Mustang seat. I was experiencing shoulder pain from leaning forward and my back did hurt also. Very confortable now. Someone told me that if you keep your hands at the same height as your shoulder when riding that is a sweet spot for confort.

I haveapes that are slightly shorter than shoulder height and a riders backrest. My bike is SUPER comfortable. You may have the same findings.

I never thought about apes helping back pain, but it makes sense.I also suffer from it and the riders backrest helps me a lot.
