There should be a raised part in the \\;\\\\\\;tread. You may not be able to see it if your tire is worn. Those tires seem to wear out fast.

Seems I got about the same wear out of the 200 on my custom that I got on my 150 on the Heritage...little after 10k miles.

You may have, next time you are at the stealer take a look at the new bikes. How many miles are on your bike? I had my rear on for 11k but a responsible person would have probably changed it at 7 or 8k. There are so many variables as to tire wear, proper inflation, riding habits, road surface, hard rear braking, to name a few. A new tire can be had for $150-$200, just be glad you don't need 4.

I did just that and you were right. There is supposed to be some tread in the center of the 200 tires. I went through the tread, wear bar and all clear down to smooth tire. Needless to say I got new rubber now and learned a good lesson.
