RIGGED A CAMERA - see test video
A buddy of mine wants me to gets some pics and video of him riding down the road. \\;\\\\\\; I've taken pics before while riding but not a video. \\;\\\\\\; Too much to do. \\;\\\\\\; Any ideas on how to rig some sort of thing? \\;\\\\\\;
 \\;
See my post later on here. \\; It worked - check it out.

RE: EVER RIGGED A CAMERA ON YOUR SCOOT?
Try this thread....it may give you an idea of how to mount one on your bike. \\; \\;It's done on a Sportster with no fairing, but may get you headed in the right direction.

I've used something called a Gorilla Pod to attach my camera to my handlebars. \\; I've taken photos and videos. \\; A little risky but it worked fine for me.

I'd prefer a helmet cam. Skydivers use them. You get less vibration from them too. You are also aiming them if you want. We have one but it's old and not high quality.

I seen a honda rider here where I live duct tape a video recorder
to his helmit, he also had old army ammo box's mounted to his
bike, guess this was his want-na-be ultra.
See you can use duct tape for any thing!

Here's a way to mount to a helmet on the cheap if you have a spare helmet. I'd fasten a mount rather than a camera to the helmet though.

Cray49a, We've done quite a bit of filming. If you mount to the bars the camera points where your wheel points. Remember countersteering. If you can mount to the helmet the camera will aim where you are looking. If you are following someone, and since good riding practice says you look where you want to go, you are essentially looking at the rider ahead of you.
