Default Shoe polish on the saddle bags

Well I have Iron Bags (Tunder model) and after 2 years they were lookin a little dull, so I had a shoe shine kit sitting around at the house for my work boots and shoes so I decided to give them a shine. Well with very minimal work, they look like they are brand new. So if you have leather on your bike (wouldnt recomend the part of the seat you actually sit on) get your self a Kiwi shine kit with the 2 brushes, use the small one to apply a liberal amount of polish, wait a few minuets and use the big brush to shine it up. My bags took about 20 minuets to do and my tank bib took all of 5 minuets. Take a look.

Chris

Looks good. I wouldn't have thought of the shoe polish. I'll have to keep that in mind when my bags get a little more weathered.

Shoe polish my azz! You stole my Bags!...........Seriously, The folks at Iron Bags ship their bags with shoe polish, Sno-Seal, and dye. And as Chris pointed out, the shoe polish works great.

Chris,
As you know, the reason I got my Ironbags was I seen a picture of them on your bike.
Along with the bags they sent some black dye, shoe polish and some winterize/waterproofing stuff. The only stuff I use on the bags is the shoe polish.
I figure if it will keep shoes looking good it should do the job for the bags.

You know I had forgotten about the shoe polish being shipped with the bags until you guys mentioned it LMAO. It didn't come with the brushes though, and I must say, the brushes are what make it really easy. If I had just used a rag to polish up the bags, I would still be in my garage.

Add Kiwi Wet Pruf available at the shoe dept in Walmart & you will really help keep the bags like new. Works great on seats too.

I've found that Doc Bailey's Leather Black works excellent as well. Also waterproofs the areas it is applied to. I use it on my seat and boots.
