Typically the Super G is used for motors over 100ci, but work very well on stroked Evo's or less displacement assuming you're running a large enough cam.

Been running one for over 10 years and very happy with the performance.

Question What Carb 4 My 1985 Evo 1340cc

Hey Codyshop

What would be the best S&S carb for my 1340cc Evo ?

What does the "E" is for 100inch and under mean ?
And the "G" is for 100 inch and over mean ?

Thanks guy
GOD BLESS

I ran a B on my 79 wide glide and on my old FXRP, just added the aftermarket accelerator pump and it ran the best of any carb I ever owned, when I tried an E, I was disappointed, give me a B with the pump over the shorty ANY day,

If it's a shovel S&S E is a simple stupid user friendly carb get you around 40-45mpg setup right , G model way too big under 100+" . The old " B " I loved them to death once I modded them for an accelerator pump 30-32mpg max , leave those alone there for the old school guys . Still have a bunch in a box around here somewhere

Thumbs up My is: 1985 Evo 1340 cc

Hi Krusr

Does the "E" come with cruise control ?
And how rough is the installation from my old '85 butterfly
carburetor to the new Super E carb?

I guess I can not buy the "E" new on Ebay ?
Got to go to a dealer who has 'em RIGHT/WRONG.
I want to buy NEW.

THANK GUY

S&S got a real big head a couple yrs ago and no one is allowed to advertise prices on their stuff anymore you have to call or walk in a shop for that now . Installation is fairly easy may need new cables comes with a detailed booklet with lots of pictures and a good tuning section . If a couple of the knuckle draggers I know can get it right a 10 yr old girl could do it .

I gotta ask whats cruise control ?

I have the Super E on my Shovel and it runs really good.
Also the B like the D has no accellerator pump. Both these carbs on big inch motors do not need the pump.On stock bikes you are better off with the E or G depending on total cubic inch, or state of tune. The S&S Super series of carbs are an excellent choice for a fuel mix device.Very easy to tune and trouble free once there.
