So I am thinking this is wishful thinking, but... is there a way to save braided cables when they get stretched out to the end of their adjustment? Or do you just have to bite the bullet and get new cables. Thanks.

 

The braided part is the jacket. See if you can buy & replace the inner cable.

So before I take this all apart .... from looking at the throttle end can you just remove the removable ball and pull the cable out of the sleeve; then insert new cable and re-install? I think they are HD braided cables, but not sure. Is this a relatively simple thing to do or a major PITA. thanks

 

You can have new inner cables made up. Check with your indy shops and maybe they can tell you who they use.
Otherwise, just buy entire new cables.
