Made in Taiwain, shipped in bulk to the US and repacked into the retail packaging in the US...

What difference does it make . . . . REALLY. It ain't gonna keep me from buying one. If they were made 100% in the U.S.A. then we would be reading about how expensive those parts were. I try to believe that it is an American made bike and leave it at that. JMHO

I think most people think Harley stuff is mostly made in USA. It appears that more parts are made in Asia than what we thought.

We have 2 of the world's largest casinos in our area. There are gazillions of Asians working in them and I keep wondering with all of them over here, who the hell is left over there to make all if these things?

I bet if you flip over the "Made in USA" label, it will say "Made in China"

This should not be any kind of revelation.
High management have been propping up profit margins to take a bonus by selling your $20 per hour job to a $1 per hour Chinese worker. Your $20 an hour job has allowed you to buy more chrome and GROSSLY overpriced import parts until the enevitable....The collapse of North American manufactuing sector.

I try to buy american (when I can) for any accessories for my bike and that means aftermarket usually. Higher priced but better quality. If you go with "genuine HD" parts you just don't know what your getting. It's only gonna get worse. If HD ever starts assembling bikes offshore and shipping them in I think I'd go insane.

Go to your local HD dealership and take a look at their parts and accessories hanging on the walls. Nothing will have a made in USA sticker, it's ALL from Asia. Harley's probably have as many American made parts on them as a Honda or Kawasaki does.
