Zanottis shipping
What's up with Zanottis shipping charges?
Checked prices on an order and Zanottis was going to charge $9 more than Chicago HD for shipping!
The prices on the parts were about the same.

+1 on the obvious answer
now for my own .02,you live in CA, Zanottis is coming to you from PA, Chicago HD is from IL, most shipping charges are set up the further away the more you pay, which is why they ask for your zip code before they finalize the sale, unless it is stated as flat rate shipping.

I did the obvious.
I have ordered from both places before and it seemed like the shipping was always pretty close.
So shipping from PA. is going to be double from ILL.?Does not sound right.

Zanottis does tend to run higher than others. It evens out when you have larger orders. I usually compare both prices and if there's a big difference I'll go elsewhere.
So far I've had all good experiences with Zanottis so they're currently my vendor of choice even if that means a few dollars here or there.
I've also had good experience with Chicago Harley but they really dropped the ball on my last order with them. Doesn't mean I wouldn't give them another chance, just not my preference.

I always check between Zanotti's and Chicago HD before ordering something. Chicago HD has been the winner on my last two purchases. Granted, they are somewhat closer to my location, but in the past Zanotti's hasn't always lost the sale.

i took the advice of many on the forum to ck both places for major purchases, I found that overall for my order recently zanotti's combine price for the items and shipping was less than Chicago, and both were a lot cheaper than local dealer...
Can't remember the exact numbers, wait yes I can I have them right here... On a 3 item order, local store was $328, Chicago was $254 shipped (not sure if tax), or Zanotti's was $243 shipped/no tax.
That was at least $10 less to go w/ Zanotti's, overall it was $85 less than the local dealer, which on a $328 retail cost including tax turns out to be a 26% savings over going local.
26% is pretty notable OTD savings, hard to ignore.
