Hey guys! Just registered (finally) so I can get in on a little harley chat! My new root beer SG is finally in at the dealer. WOW! I was riding the'08 SG in the sunglo. My wife is the one who really wanted to upgrade to the root beer color. No, you can't have her!! Hoping everything I hear about the new one is true. A couple of questions, Will any of the earlier "slip on" mufflers fit the new '09? Anyone drop the front end on the street glide? Looking to slam my ride a little, gonna add a 21" to the front with the chrome front end.

 

Just bought an '09 RoadKing Classic in the root beer..... I'm a custom paint guy but this paint job really got me...... don't see me screwing with it...... plus, I made the dealer an offer I never thought that he would take, held my guns, walked out $700 bucks apart, and he didn't let me make the handle on my truck door..... cash talks right now.....great time to buy one....

 

Congrats on the SG. Why don't you head on down to the Touring section and ask these questions. There are some differences in the muffler mountings on the 09s. Oh yeah, and take some pics of your new scoot.

 

I was in the dealer the other day and saw the Ultra in the Root Beer color and fell in love. Good thing it was already sold. Then last Saturday I went to another dealer to look at helmets and they had one. They are supposed to bring it to my house Friday. I guess the banker stores two of his bikes in my garage now.
