Wow! Thanx for the heads up! Funny, I am watching a few Buco's on Ebay right now. NOS that look like theyre in really nice shape but after hearing your take on it, forget it. I'll just assume to buy new. Thanx again!

Sorry dude but whats the point of wearing a Biltwell? If your gonna wear a helmet, don't you think it should meet some sort of safety standard? I can see the non DOT carbon fiber helmets being a different story. As I understand it, carbon fiber is WAY more stronger then poly or fiberglass and the only reason they are not DOT certified is because of the thickness of the liner. 1/2" vs 3/4" but again, if the shell is stronger then a DOT certified, I'm game. Too bad biltwell doesn't offer a carbon fiber old skewller! Just sayin!

I wear a helmet because it's the law nothing else. If Missouri was a free state i wouldn't wear one at all. If can get away with a Biltwell with a DOT sticker then so be it. Now i could see wearing a DOT helmet for trips or such but around town...a novelty works just fine..
Hmmm,,, never thought about it that way. Sux when the man tells what ya can and cant do.
When I lived in CT, I was one of thousands that repeatedly rode into Hartford to protest the helmet law in the late 70's. It worked. Now I'm older and cautious, so when I ride with my buddies out of Waterbury I'm wearing.

Well I'll thank you kindly! It sure is nice to NOT wear one at times. Then and again, when I'm on 95, I'd be NUTZ to not wear one! Especially one thats not worth wearing.
I tried on a Fulmer V2 today and I must say, WOW! Quality helmet. It feels really solid. It was a size large and a little too tight so I guess my giant melon is gonna need an extra large.
