Default people think all h.d's are 20 grand

this has happened to me 3 times in the last year and a half, 1st time a guy on a star asked what i was riding, said a harley, he sayes what did that runya, about 20 grand? i was on a sportster at the time. then i get a new street bob , 1st comment i get on it was " soon as i get an extra 20 grand im gonna get me one of those'.{2nd comment i got on it was isnt that a sportster} then a financial adviser [ not mine] said im glad to see you got 20 grand to spend in this recesion. i dont think this is a good thing cause new riders wont even look at harleys, has anyone else had a similer experience?

sounds like the people you've bumped into are clueless about Harleys (maybe even about bikes in general)

people say the same thing about my wife. I just say, it's a fun ride and you get what you pay for. Nevertheless, 20K is a good estimate.
