Wow bunch of different ideas that this could be. I just checked it after riding and it isnt' leaking bad but still seems to just fill up the crack. I wipe it off and it just feels teh crack back up. This doesn't seem like a serious problem but do ya'll think I should have the dealer check it out? I'm just learning to turn my own wrenches so i'm not sure about this one.

If its the female plug it happens (usually) just once a month. If its the male plug....get treatment. Or its oil.....I know, kiss...........

Your kidding me right?

Spray everything down with degreaser, rinse, Blow dry. Sit bike in the driveway or garage. Start bike and watch where the oil is coming from..

My guess, the last oil change slop is running out of its hiding spot.

That plug must be leaking (use thread tape on it?) or it's oil from your last oil change. I shove a big wad of paper towels under the filter and that whole area before I unscrew the oil filter. That catches most of it but still get some running down into the engine mount, etc.

I use dot 10 for this part of the bike. Works the best. Only made in a small country in south east Asia known as abumambakai.

No I'm not kidding, LOL if that was to me?. The funny thing is it doesn't drip so it's apparently not leaking bad. The bike did have an oil change right before I got it and it have only put 1K miles on it so far since January.

Since you mentioned the oil change, now I'll go with oil residue from when the oil filter came off.
