Fluid leaking behind my voltage regulator! What is it?

DO NOT wash it off, next time. Use an Exacto knife, and carefully scrape it off, and put it into a 'pill' bottle. After I save enough of it, I use it for chain lube. Stuff stix like glue to the chain.
Also, DO NOT, as previously posted, substitute blinker fluid, for regulator fluid. Blinker fluid has two more carbon atoms in it, and it will destroy the synthetic membrane inside the reg.
NOT GOOD !!!!!!!!
ONCE AGAIN, old is GOOD. Remember the 'mechanical' regs they had on the knucks and pans?? HUH?? Well, do ya??? NOW those were 'modern marvels' IN ACTION. NO STEENKING leaking fluids there, I can tell you that !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Laughed myself silly on several of these replies. No one has mentioned that the oil filter might not have been screwed on quite tight enough on that last oil change.
I'm looking for a cheap place to buy the signal light fluid, wanta stock up and buy a case of the stuff. I can't see why you can't drill a small hole at the top of each lense and fill it up to the top. Then I'll do the same thing with the voltage regulator to make sure it is well lubricated and running cooler. Better safe than sorry I always say.
