Coming home from work the other night, and as I get to my street, there is a major road project in full swing. The lady with the sign stops me at the corner and says "The road is closed". I told her "But that's my house, right there." (it was that close). "Sorry, no dice."

So I turn the bagger around and go down the block and come in from the other side. It was no big deal. Park the bike, go in, let the dog out.........as I'm standing in the back yard, I hear a crunch, a thud, and swearing. I walk around front, and there is a large dump truck most of the way into the hole they were digging. The road had given way.

That sign lady knows her $hit. Electra-Glides make lousy tunnel rats.

 

Good thing she made you go around. You know what the song says. Women are smarter...

 

Season?? Hell, that's a year round thing here!

 

Man we are surrounded by it here.Cannot avoid it going to work.Tourist season is upon us and another gridlocked summer ahead.The very reason why I avoid any and all construction and metropolitain areas.

 

We have a saying here: There's winter and construction season...
