I had made one out of ABS Pipe (black plastic pipe),put tape on the handle bars, then used hose clamps to mount the ABS to the bars.I used 2 lengths 3 inches long and my cane was telescopic so it fit very well.
I used velcro on the cane and inside the ABS to hold it in place.

You must have a way cooler parts and accessory department at your dealer. I looked all over in mine, and all they got is chrome stuff.

I have to use a cane as well sometimes. My leg doesn't hurt often enough for me to have to carry one on the bike, but that day will prob come eventually

Material shops sell Velcro in different widths and length...
You could put two 2" strips around the forks or engine guard if you have one, and the other half around the cane. Instant cane holder. I might suggest the soft 'wooly' half around the cane, and the hooked half around the forks/engine guard. Also, ya might wanna apply some glue to hold the strips in place, (so they don't slide up and down), at least on the cane if not both...

Just in case anyone feels like mocking my idea, they were once testing Velcro for holding fenders on cars. The results I read, said they held up to 80mph. And, if the velcro you put on is long enough, you could wrap around the cane for a more secure attachment.
