New HD Oil?
http://www.harley-davidson.com/gma/g...bmLocale=en_US
I also notice that the Syn 3 now states "full" synthetic oil. I don't recall the Syn 3 advertising as "full" synthetic. Something new?

Just looked at one of my old bottles, says, Synthetic oil, nothing about full syn.
Ok, hold on, the above web site show us a syn bottle of HD oil that says its a blend right on it, not that its a true 100% sny oil, I think Ur getting mixed up...
At $7.95, its less than what the older SYN 3 oil sales for...So Unless I didn't see the bottle Ur talking about, One that says 100% syn oil, If so and they have come out with a true 100% syn oil It would more than likely be higher than the older sny3 in the light brown bottle that they had till now..

Since HD refuses to publish any API specs or certifications on their lubricants like 99% of the rest of the industry does. I refuse to buy their lubricants.
Then you always get the implied warranty denial threat by many dealers if you don't use their products. Not a trusting way to do business with loyal consumers IMO. Just a real turn off for me.

One of the reasons why I don't use their lubes as well. I want to know what base stocks it comes from, the VI, shear, and total base number as a minimum.
The other reason is I wouldn't use CITGO/Chavez oil if it was the best lube on earth anyway....
Cheers,

It says new Screamin' Eagle® Full SYN3® Synthetic Lubricant. I just don't recall it saying this. I could be wrong. Also it is not new has been out a few years now.
