Default DIY Chrome Plating

A guy on one of my car forums turned me on to this: http://www.caswellplating.com/
Electroless plating that you can do on the kitchen stove. He claims it works well, and the pictures on the site seem to back up the claim.

I have no first-hand experience with this stuff, but the technology seems sound. Has anyone used this or want to be the guinea pig?

Apparently the state of California thinks the same thing. Notice the asterisked item down the page...

"Not Available to Residents of California"

So that leaves me out for being the test case, unless I add in the cost of a mail forwarding service.

After witnessing what my wife is capable of after using one of her "special pots" for draining the oil, there is no way I would put this operation on the stove I considered myself lucky the last time, I am not going to push my luck.
