Road test question, one or two feet on the ground at stop sign
My friend's wife is taking her road test tomorrow. We were chatting about the proper/legal way to stop at a stop sign.
I thought the law stated both feet planted on the ground for 3 seconds. But she was taught in her course that you should NEVER plant both feet, you should only touch with one foot.
What do others say? Anyone know for sure. We live in Alberta.
In the course your taught to not plant both feet. 1 foot with the bike in 1st that way if somebody comes up from behind, you can get the hell out of the way.
What course is teaching folks to keep a foot on the pegs at stop? I'm an MSF instructor and I say hogwash. Both feet down, bike in 1st gear, clutch in, cover the front brake.

What do your feet have to do with getting out of the way? You only need your hands for that.

Bee doing that since I started riding. Believe that was taught to me in course we took back in 1988 and I didn't start riding until 2001.
