Default 2010 Street Glide Trike w/ stabilizer

Since I bought my trike I noticed that the street glide trike did not come with an engine guard. So I went to the Harley dealership and they gave me an engine guard and said that it would fit. I found out that it does not fit because of the front end stabilizer bracket is in the way. My question is has anyone run into this problem with the 2010 street glide trike and if they were able to attach one on their trike I would like to know how to do this, or is Harley have something coming out to modify the problem. I need to be able to move my legs in a different position while riding.

The dresser tri glide has an engine guard and a stabilizer. I would think it would fit.

Do not see how it wouldn't work unless the stabalizer for the street glide is different than the tri glide. Post your question on Hacked triked and trailering. On my triglide it is a close fit but it fits. Would see if the part number is the same for the stabalizer for the triglide and street glide. If both are the same you may have to remove the stablizer then put engine guard on then put stabalizer back on.

isn't the engine guard there so if you drop the bike the engine and side of the bike are protected?......it's a trike; not likely to tip it over......

Engin guard is useful for many things. Maybe hiway pegs or aux driving lights or lowers for when it is cold.

The engine guard doesn't bolt up the same as the Tri Glide in the bottom and the stabilizer bracket has a lip on it to keep it from moving around. The frames are different
