Took my 1st fall/ crash on Sept 13
First of all, Im mostly ok May have broke hand ned to check with a specialist. But think I was lucky. I was on a group ride with about 1000 bukes driving down the Palasades Parkway in NJ guy in front of me didn't do the old point to an obstacle as you pass it was doing between 40-50 on the highway Hit a big pothole wheel went in,my hand may have been covering front break wheel twisted left and highside fall then occured. Thank God i decideed to wear my heavy Harley Jacket with some cavlar in sholders and elbows. Have Bruised ribs a possible broken bone in had slight road rash on knees and bruised elbows. But riders behind me didnt hit me sand guys stopped and dercected rest of run around me laying in the middle of the highway. Run was escorted by police and 2 abulances so i was tended too in 5 or 6 min. But i felt like a real tool. Lesson learned i WILL NEVER not wear full ridding gear ever, I dont care how hot probably saved my ***.

Been there. Glad your not hurt any worse although it sounds bad enough. What kinda injuries to your hand? I was in therapy for ever with mine. This is a great place to hang out when you can't be twisting the throttle. It helped pass a lot of time while I was down.

So glad you're basically OK. What you describe will heal and you'll be back in the saddle soon.
After such an incident you realize why it is you put on that gear day in and day out. It's not always fun to wear by any means but when your "time" comes then it saves you much pain.
Heal quickly and stay in touch.

Very Glad to hear your okay. Seems like you'll button up just fine.
Do you mind if I use this as a signature?

Lots of things could, should be said but glad you weren't hurt worse then you described. Also glad everyone else around you wasn't hurt. That's the sugar here's the salt----never depend on anyone to point out hazards in the road to you.

Wow glad your ok...really makes you think hard about wearing the gear, i know i dont always wear my stuff when its 80'+ out because these bikes get warm at idle but i keep hearing stories like this and think to myself i should really start wearing my stuff
glad your ok! ride safe! (ps. i always point to road hazards if riding with someone, thats just me)

I glad you are OK. Those events ride you never know who you are ride beside and around you. The person in front of may not of had time help to warn you of the road hazards or may not know about pointing things like that. The road hazards are still going to be there with or with out somebody showing you. You still have to ride looking out for everything that may come up in life. Ride safe and ride protected.
