gas mileage v-rod
just purchased 2004 v-rod. book says 50 miles to gallon. after driving it a while, noticed this far from truth. what do i need to check to improve this?

They get about 20 not 50
Just fill it up drive it fill it then check how much Gas to how many miles

I used to get about 40 give or take...with the new pipe in place I get 30 plus or minus 5 but then again I live on Guam don't really get to open her up when I do get a chance to she really drinks it up then it gets close to 20mpg

One of my riding buddies got rid of his first generation V-Rod not entirely, but mostly for that reason. Not enough fuel for any good distance. He always complained about the mileage on that thing. It was a real pretty bike though.
