He ain't answerin' questions. Seems that he just did a "fly-by" with the question and dropped of the face of the earth.

Mebbe lost it around a corner on the next test run??????

BINGO! sort of..turns out when the shock was replaced, someone didn't tighten it all the way or it got loose from riding a few hundred miles after getting the bike back. I looked all over the rear end of the bike to see if anything was loose and noticed that I could see "thread" from the bolt that locked the bottom part of the shock. Tightened the bolt up and seems to be much better now. Thanks for everyone's suggestions. Now to call my buddies shop and figure out who was "putting parts back on my bike."

If the air pressure in both tires is correct, it almost has to be the suspension. Or your head.
Yeah, i guess it could've helped to explain what was replaced/fixed at the shop. haha, but no i didn't notice anything when I first got my bike back, but I was trying to get used to riding again for not having the bike for almost 2 months, felt like i was a new rider again. Again, thanks for everyone's suggestions on possible issues with my bike (and my head)

I have a 03 SuperGlide and I've always noticed that I have to be easy on the throttle when making slow speed turns because the tire wants to let loose with an agressive throttle. It improved when I went from the Dunlops to Avons though.

I have actually had a similar sensation on my bike before. It hasnt happened more than 1 or 2 times soo far though. I would take a turn and feel like the rear is losing traction for a split second. Pretty much exactly as the OP described when compared to a flat. I have had pinched tubes on my dirtbike and notice it on a turn just the same way. I kind of figured i must have simply had it leaning pretty far and the tread surface still had release agent or maybe some other contaminate on it. The bike is still very new with just under 700 miles on it.

I am very pleased that you did not write it off as "in your head", even though it was realistically possible.

Now you have found a source, as well as finding some peace of mind.

Congrats!
