I just bought a new front fender for the scoot. Thanks for the idea Chaz. I still need to paint it black. I know a good painter and have no problem paying him 100 or so, but for gloss black, is powder coating and option? Does it look the same, sure is less expensive. Does it appear as smooth on tins? Let me know, thanks.

As a function of my job, I have visited several suppliers for powdercoating, including some that Harley uses for powdercoating on their tins & V-Rod engine cases.
I also toured Capitol Drive with the Wisconsin Chemical Coaters Assn. and was able to get a behind the scenes look at the powder line there for engine components.
So, yes, powdercoating would work well. :-)
