Custom Dynamics Genesis II LED Tail light review
I just received the Custom Dynamics (forum sponsor) Genesis II LED tail light and I want to provide a review for you guys. I am in no way affiliated with Custom Dynamics But I can tell you that they seem to be an outstanding company with a quality product. Shipping took 7 days from the time it was sent to get to my door. I imediatly opened up the box and had a look. The tail light its self seems to be very well constructed and it was a complete plug and play affair. There are directions included with the light, but the are not needed in my opinion as its only 2 screws and a plug for the light. I recieved the Smoked, laydown no window light for my 09 Road Glide.
You can see in this picture all of the LED's that make up this light. IMO pretty impressive.
Install was a snap as it is just 2 phillips head screws and the tail light plug. It is about a 2 minuet job with a sip of beer.
My first impressions of this light were that it really wasn't brighter than stock. This was looking at it from the side of the bike almost 90 degrees to the actual light. Then I took a few steps back and holy chit, it was like staring into a red sun.
Stock tail light (no brake from 5 feet)
Genesis II light (no brake from 5 feet)
Genesis II light (no brake from 30 feet)
Genesis II light (brake on from 30 feet)

The pictures do not do this tail light justice when it comes to how bright this thing is. People will not miss you with this tail light. The only way anyone could ever say they didn't see you from behind would be if they were legally blind. I had the Kuryakyn Panacea tail light on my Fatboy and it was no where near what this tail light is, the Genesis II puts the Kury product to shame for less money. Having a life time warranty on the LED's in this tail light makes it all the better. Custom Dynamics has a great product with the Genesis II tail light and I would recommend it to anyone looking to brighten up the rear of their bike.
