Default Today's ride 85th addition of AD farrow endurance run

First my hats off to Bob & Valerie Althoff Owners of Ad Farrow harley davidson and all there staff and there Hog chapter COLUMBUS, OHIO CHAPTER, for a great ride and turkey dinner.

I have been wanting to do this ride since 2007 when i bought my bike as i ride all year and i have heard it was a great ride and it was. BY THE end of the day i had racked up 310 miles.

The only thing that kept me from doing it the past two years is the fact its a 250 mile ride from the start point and it takes me an hour just to get to the start point and i have to leave around 6:30am to make it there and last year it was 14 degrees.

Well this year i braved the weather this morning when i took off it was 35 degree's and foggy. I got to the AD farrow downtown dealership at 8am and it had warmed up a little bit. There was a great group of riders forming up many of them i knew which was cool.

We took off and the day warmed up to about 60 degrees and the ride was about 210 miles and took us out east of columbus ohio on some nice roads and then north on 83 up to millersburg some nice twisties and circled us back around to the ad farrow north star location where everyone. Was served a hand shake from the owner and a thank you and a great turkey dinner dam the food was good turkey, taters, greenbeans, rolls, mac salad, pumkin pie.

They are a class act and great group i was very glad to have made the ride. They had a great turn out with somewhere around 150 bikes and they stayed in a pretty tight group most of the ride was neat to see a mile long line of bikes coming down the road as we roared thru towns.

Here are some pics of bikes at some of the stops. A cross bones with a side car and a sick bagger and the photobucket link shows all my pics today.

Nice pictures; thanks for posting them.

With 150 bikes, how long does it take at each gas station? An hour or more?

Not everyone needed gas at each stop and the stops were around 20min each.

OOOH...Ya got the flu? That explains why you are so damn skinny.

But on the topic...It looks like it was a great run. Scooters is a good way to meet people.

If they have been doing that run for 85 years, they must be doing it right!
Nice sidecar rig too!

I was on the ride it was really cool riding with a group that large. Riding east on rt. 40, people in cars were taking pictures as they were passing by us. Met some great people and totally enjoyed the experience.. Great pictures Skully.
