Default Yellow Snow

The weather merchants have painted all out coverage of snow for tonight and tommorrow.. The local dept of transportation have already put out their salt and or brine on the roads.. that means we will be cleaning that chit off vehicles for a while.. I hope I can get my bike home before the roads get wet, I hate trying to get that stuff off the bike.. Tommorrow I guess I will take the truck to work..

Not really on the same track but...Back in my old druggie hippy daze, I was walking thru Santa Fe NM with Mom, we passed a head shop and there was a patch in the winder with Snoopy telling Woodstock "DON'T EAT YELLOW SNOW!". Mom looks at me and says,"yellow snow, that's heroine isn't it?" I was a budding junkie at the time so all I could say between giggles was "Good God I hope not!"
That has just stuck in my mind permanently. Thanks for the memories, Mom is long gone but memories never die

Were supposed to get some also. Just looked out my winder and it looks like it's ready to start. Should be a chilly ride home tonight, hopefully the wet stuff holds off till I get home.

No snow here. It's been raining since Thursday night and its Friday afternoon now. Suppose to keep on until Saturday at noon. Hopefully can get a ride in Sunday!

In the summer of 1972 my denum jacket had only 3 patches on it, and one was that snoopy one saying "don't eat yellow snow". The other ones were American Flags. I remember when I asked my mother to sew the snoopy patch on, she was a little concerned that it had a secret drug connotation. I laughed my ass off reading your post. Really brought back some memories!

Try again - sorry. Friend of mine saw the yellow snow with my name written in and got really hot when he realized it was in his girlfriends handwriting!

Does it remind you of this???

artist: Frank Zappa lyrics
title: Don't Eat The Yellow Snow
album: Apostrophe (')

[includes a quote from Midnight Sun (Hampton/Burke/Mercer)]

Dreamed I was an Eskimo
(Bop-bop ta-da-da bop-bop Ta-da-da)
Frozen wind began to blow
(Bop-bop ta-da-da bop-bop Ta-da-da)
Under my boots 'n around my toe
(Bop-bop ta-da-da bop-bop Ta-da-da)
Frost had bit the ground below
(Boop-boop aiee-ay-ah!)
Was a hundred degrees below zero
(Booh!)
(Bop-bop ta-da-da bop-bop Ta-da-da)
And my momma cried:
Boo-a-hoo hoo-ooo
And my momma cried:
Nanook-a, no no (no no...)
Nanook-a, no no (no no...)
Don't be a naughty Eskimo-wo-oh
(Bop-bop ta-da-da bop-bop Ta-da-da)
Save your money: don't go to the show
Well I turned around an' I said:
HO HO
(Booh!)
Well I turned around an' I said:
HO HO
(Booh!)
Well I turned around an' I said:
HO HO
An' the Northern Lites commenced t' glow
An' she said
(Bop-bop ta-da-da bop...)
With a tear in her eye:
WATCH OUT WHERE THE HUSKIES GO
AN' DON'T YOU EAT THAT YELLOW SNOW
WATCH OUT WHERE THE HUSKIES GO
AN' DON'T YOU EAT THAT YELLOW SNOW
