Default drain my fuel tank

need to drain my fuel tank on a 1996 FXWG , i took the fuel line off and turn the petcock on and have no fuel draining out ??? What do i need to do to get it to drain ??

If the petcock has a vacuum line attached to it, you need to supply a vacuum to that line in order for the petcock to flow.

Otherwise, use a siphon hose.

Siphon hose is the easiest and cleanest way to drain it.

got r done with a siphen hose. Thanks for the input. I guess iam just use to an old style of petcock

Vacuum activated valve back side of the petcock. You have to pull a vacuum on it.

There is a vacuum hose on the BACK side of your petcock. You will have to pull the hose off and connect a hose and vacuum gun to it.

I had a petcock once. My ex ended up with it in the divorce.
