Default Factory H-D Shovelhead Collectible models.

What do you consider to be the most collectible STOCK Shovelhead models that the MoCo produced?

BTW, By collectible I mean not your mates Shovel that he's thrown $50k at, I mean Factory Original.

Here are a few of my ideas.

XR1000

1980 FXB Sturgis

1980 FXWG Wide Glide

1977 XLCR 1000

First off, Ironheads ('57-'85), are NOT Shovelheads ('66-'85, MOST think '84, BUT there were some leftover Shovels in '85, TMK, used on Police bikes).

'76 Liberty Editions

'77 Confederate Editions (Super Rare, BUT we have at least, 2 of them, on here !!!!!!!!!!!!!! Both FX's)

The ONE some folks say, "Saved HD", the '71 Factory Experimental by Willie G. Better known, as the "FX Superglide". ('65 Chevrolet tail light !!!)

The '66-'69's (most refer to 'em as pan-shovels, BUT the MoCo called 'em Shovelheads) are FINALLY coming into their own, but with the economy, in the tank, $$ has dropped, as well.

'66, is the ONLY one with the fuel petcock on the RIGHT tank. (see above pic)

You already have the Sturgis in there.

Those are the ones that "pop" into my head, right now.

I missed the "First Factory Custom" '71 FX Super Glide....thanks Gump. I had never even heard of the Confederate until I came to the states. My mistake on the Ironhead Sportsters, so many people call 'em Shovelheads (just like I did)....thanks again Gump

Wasn't there a limited edition in '83 when they bought back the company from AMF?

I'd have to agree with all above mentioned choices. I had a 1980 FXWG that was only slightly modified. Could have easily been taken back to stock. Everywhere I went someone was always asking me If it was a "Real Wideglide",or a converted low rider,Fx,etc. Man ,I still wish I hadn't sold it.

I hope it ain't! Look at the carb, a DC LInkert; nobody in their right mind would put that carb on a clone-motor!

the boat tail would get my vote as "most collectible". Everything else mentioned here though I agree with.
