cleaning a HD quick detach windshield
I know this has been hit on in here but cant find it. What is the best thing to clean a HD quick detach windshield on my dyna that wont Fup the shield. I just picked this one up and it needs cleaned looks new so don't want to mess up the plexy or lexan what ever they are made out of. Freezing here in ohio so figure ill go clean the bike up.

Lemon Pledge. Soak a hot towel on it first if there are bugs stuck to it.

I use Plexus and a clean microfiber towel. There is something that you're not supposed to put on Lexan, don't recall if it was alcohol or ammonia.
Edit: Ammonia or ammonia containing products XXX

pick up a spray bottle of NOVUS Plastic Clean and Shine from your local HD parts dept. works great. they make a scratch remover also.

Wizard's Mist & Shine with a soft cloth.
These windshields scratch easily.

I use Novus to get the dirt and bugs off, then I use Plexus to clean it up.

Ugh. For me, the smell of Rain X brings back flashbacks of stale Jim Beam.
On the windscreen -- I've used regular paste wax without any issues.
