Default Stolen Bike Today

8 of us headed out today and rode to Lakewood Ohio. Stopped at the Hairy Buffalo for a buffalo steak and a beer. We were joined by a 9th guy about halfway through the meal. Half hour later we go outside and find the 9th guys 2003 Deuce, with custom paint and a ton of chrome, missing. a $29,000.00 under insured bike is gone. We rode the neighborhood while he spoke with police. Found a a couple on the next block that saw a guy pushing "a red sport bike" up the alley about 15 minutes prior.

The owner didn't lock the fork or ignition but "thought" he triggered the security system before he came in... This is a fairly nice neighborhood & we have been there a few times. I always put the disc lock on the front, lock the fork/ignition, set the security system & carry the pager. It may have paid off today....

I love the auduble alarm w/ Pager. Makes me feel good knowing that the bike is OK. I wish the general public knew how to spot a motorcycle theft in progress.

Man That Sucks

I lock my forks everytime I get off the MC. I don't care where it's at. If they want it they will have to pick it up or break the fork lock.

That really sucks. As soon as I hit the states next year I'm buying an alarm system.
