I've had real good luck with St. Paul Harley. 20% and very fast on the shipping. If I ordered on a Monday I normally had it before the weekend. I live in Arizona so I thought that was pretty good.

 

In my previous post I meant to say Motor City in Detroit. I have bought from St Paul on ebay and had excellent service from them but as far as ordering direct I only have experience with Motor City.

You gotta be patient anytime you order from any of the online HD parts companies: Chicago, Zanottis, Suburban, etc. None of them carry the parts in stock, they all have to back order the parts from HD. Your wait time can run anywhere from 2-4 weeks. The stuff you ordered is fairly expensive and you'll save a lot on it. Just have to be patient.

 

I've ordered a few things from them. I use to order from New Roc Harley in New York but they're so screwed up, I stopped.

 

I've ordered several times from Chicago HD... Yes you have to wait if even one part is out of stock... that's the breaks.... if you don't need it in a hurry Chicago will come thru....

 

Everyone needs to understand that Chicago HD has a lot more orders coming in than are from us. Especially with their 20% discounts. They can't possibly keep everything in stock and it's got to be a mad house around there keeping up with all of the orders and customer satisfaction. It take a lot of coordination and discipline for an ordering system to work in the best interest of their customers.

Having said that. Customer service is a problem everywhere. Keeping employees on board long enough to train them and expect them to perform under conditions they may not have been prepared for. High turn over of employees and poor management will always be a problem. All of that not taking into account problems that the Motor Company's distribution system glitches along with quality control, parts and accessories getting held up in Customs at the shipping ports to name a few.

 

I've had great luck with zanotti's on my first order, shipped super fast and i like the updated emails, I just placed another order last night so i hope it's just as quick. 20% off sure is nice Zanotti's has been great thus far.

 

I ordered several parts from Chicago Harley last year. They were very slow but got my order right. If your planning a vacation and need parts, I recommend you order way in advance if you want to get them in time.

 

I stick with Zanotti's because of all the bad press Chicago H-D gets.
