Question/Issue with Eagle Claw Jiffy Stand
Tonight I installed an eagle claw jiffy stand on my dad's 09 Road King.
The problem is that it doesn't have any rubber bumper/stop that cushions it when riding. One of the claws directly hits the bottom of the primary. That can't be good. And there's no hole on the jiffy stand for a rubber stop to attach to. The only hole is for the spring to attach.
Any ideas on what to do? Anyone else experience this???

Any possibility that you could attach a rubber bumper bock to the frame or somewhere to hit the stand when it is up? Maybe pick up a hockey puck, cut it down to size, drill a hole thru it big enough to slip a zip tie thru and zip it to the frame. Or get a hunk of two face molding tape from a auto body shop, thats some pretty tough stuff.

This "type" fits on the frame. May or may not work for 'your' situation. I have this on the panhead.

This type, adheres to the primary. Actually for older HDs with the indentation on the primary, BUT it will work for MOST other apps, too.
Just make sure you clean the spot real good with isopropyl alcohol, lacquer thinner, or a GOOD cleaner, before you "stick it". You could also 'trim' it to fit.
You can see the 'indentation', this pic was BEFORE I put the new one, on.

Hey, thanks Gump! I really like the 1st option. I hope that it will fit. I also see that HD makes the same thing (P/N 50059-85A). I'm going to see if any local dealerships have it in stock so that I can see it in-person.
