Default motorkote any opinions?

I ordered this stuff a friend recomended called motorkote. You replace 2 ounces per quart in engine oil every 4 oil changes. Its suppose to be absorbed by the metel and form an extra protective slick film on the moveing parts, he said it will drop your rpm's down by a hundred. He also said nascar uses it cause they dump there oil into a tank in the race cars during the final lap so as to boost there speed(engine drag) and car is only lubricated with this film...

I bought a jug(32 oz) for 26 bucks delivered on amozon, not bad so what the heck? any experience with this stuff? tranny too?dont know if i would put it in primary?

Snake ****? or lemming spit. it's all the same. Save your money for real oil and change it on time.

there have been countless oil additives through the years, in the past ten years teflon has become popular for an additive. please don't buy into this miracle stuff, it's all gimmick. using the best oil you can find, the correct filter, and changing when it's required is a much better choice than using these snake oil additives.

Exactly how is it gonna drop your RMP's by 200? Does it make you ride slower?

I agree. If the stuff make your motor all slick inside your RPMs should rise not fall. DON"T BUY IT! save your money for real parts or better yet GAS.

It doesn't matter how slick it is. Your RPM's won't change with a manual tranny. Think about it. You can coast down a hill and cut your motor off. The engine still turns and RPM's don't change until you slow down.

Bin in the business for 30 years and I have seen at least 100 different products that claim the same, 99.9% do nothing but make money for a opportunist business man.

File it under "things I wish I hadn't spent my money on". Also, ever watch the winner at the end of a NASCAR race do burnouts and a couple of victory laps? Guarantee you they ain't gonna do that with no oil in the pan.

I use it in my cars and my Sporty as well. I don't get half as much as lugging in 4th gear as I used to get in city driving. Also I get about 5 miles to gallon more too. beleave what you want, I for one knows it works.
